Penn Yield Rate

Penn Yield Rate May 11 66% of admitted students to Penn have chosen to matriculate to the university, as reported by The Daily Pennsylvanian. Weve got the Penn yield rate to report. 66% of admitted students in the Regular Decision round at the University of Pennsylvania chose to accept Penns offer of admission. And the yield rate for last years Class of 2018? 66%. So things held steady at Penn this year. After combining the Early Decision and Regular Decision applicant pools, in all, 37,267 students applied to the University of Pennsylvania to be members of the Class of 2019. Of this applicant pool, 3,697 earned admission for an acceptance rate of 9.9%, just below the 10% barrier. Interestingly, 9.9% was the overall admission rate at Penn last year as well, as you can confirm in our comprehensive Ivy League Statistics. For the Class of 2018, Penn received 35,868 applications, slightly fewer than for the Class of 2019. And last year, they admitted 3,551 applicants, fewer admits than this year. So this explains why the numbers held steady year-to-year. As Penns always entertaining and candid Dean of Admissions Eric Furda said in a quote to The Daily Pennsylvanian, The energy and bonding of the class during our three recruitment events ConnectED Quakers Days, Multicultural Scholars and Quaker Days helped bring the class together to start the critical transition into our campus community. I would like to thank all of our campus partners, Penn  Alumni and current Penn students for reaching out to the class of 2019.' The yield rates for other Ivy League colleges are trickling  in, but certain Ivy League colleges have already (or will soon be) turning to their waitlists. Have a question about yields at the eight Ivy League colleges? Let us know your question by posting a Comment below. We look forward to hearing from you.
